Collection “In Red” is designed and handmade by Inita Straupe.

“Red – it is color of fire, life and health. It is energy, willingness to act and move. The color red excites, and gives energy and power. It is intense and a little bit aggressive. This collection contains different themes – from motifs of flowers observed in nature and stones from the seaside, to embroidery patterns in Talsi * plaid.

By choosing items from this collection, 15% of your purchase will be donated to Zvannieki house . Zvannieki is not a typical children's home. The organization functions as a family with a team of dedicated and trained volunteers, who care for abandoned children as they would their own. The program provides practical skills as well as a stable home and family environment. Zvannieki gives these children the opportunity to love and be loved, and to learn how to care for others. There are no “teachers” or “counselors”; Zvannieki residents interact as mums, dads, grandparents, brothers and sisters, etc…

Since April 2008, Straupe Jewelry has donated 15% of sales from this collection to support Zvannieki and the children. We, the artists, and the Zvannieki family are grateful for each purchase. Our collaboration resulted in providing for rich and exciting summer adventures as well as back-to-school supplies, excursions and the excitement of winter activities. The proceeds from this special collection allow Zvannieki to take special care of the children's educational needs – which are considered a priority.
